EXPERIENCE CENTER | KANSAS CITY, KC/MO
A community-inspired experience and event center that showcases what is possible with Google’s gigabit speed internet offering.
When Google chose Kansas City, (KS and MO) as the launch location for its new fiber optic data and entertainment initiative, they wanted to create a unique, fun, inviting space where people could sit down, relax and learn about this revolutionary new service while celebrating Kansas City. The Showcase includes: a welcome/information area, hardware displays, and smaller areas where visitors can relax and experience in-depth the different benefits Google Fiber has to offer. To make the space authentically KC, we sprinkled the environment with subtle and overt references to local history and culture. These included custom shuttlecock lamps (paying homage to KC’s iconic pop-art sculptures), wallpaper featuring local landmarks, exhibits by local artists, and an installation created with 660 authentic football and baseball cards.
